Fossilized dinosaur footprints! This Arctic season continues to deliver on excitement and exploration! Our guests and Expedition Team landed at Kvalv疇gen, a rarely visited site on the south east coast of Spitsbergen. Only one Expedition Team member on the Ocean Nova had previously explored this site as challenging weather conditions and a rocky shoreline make it extremely difficult to visit. Note that the fossilized footprints cant always be seen, as they are sometimes covered by snow. We cant wait to hear more from our team when they return to port! A big shoutout to Guest Services Manager Naomi Box (@outandaboutinaboat) and Expedition Coordinator & Guide Jaymie Macaulay (@jaymiemac) for sharing their excitement about this experience.
