"Home to around 60,000 pairs of breeding Brünnichs Guillemot, the basalt cliffs at Alkefjellet are such an amazing wildlife experience. From afar the cliffs seem sleepy and quiet like most of Svalbard. However once you start to approach the cliffs, you start to see the massive swarms of busy birds and eventually can hear the stadium like noise of it all. Notes 📝: They are extremely fast and difficult to photograph!" —David Merron #TravelwithQuark #ArcticExpedition #VisitSvalbard
