As #Pride month draws to a close, we want to make sure we continue the spirit of inclusivity in the Polar Regions. During the past Antarctic season, travelers with Planting Peace, a non-profit organization declared Antarctica the world’s first LGBT+ friendly continent. Aaron Jackson, President and founder of Planting Peace, carried the pride flag on all landings. The trip was planned to raise awareness for the need for action across the planet because basic rights are still denied to the LGBT+ community in so many countries across the world.
